Description: silver linden is a deciduous tree of the Malvaceae family, reaching up to 25 m in height. It is found singly or in patches in mixed forests, roadsides and settlements. The root system is highly developed superficially and in depth, with numerous shoots. Linden leaves are simple, oval, with a sharp tip and serrated edges, up to 10 cm long. Young leaves are dark green above, covered with star-shaped hairs below. The flowers are bisexual and form a fragrant inflorescence. The petals are bare, yellowish. The stamens are shorter than the corolla, and the fruit is a globose nut covered with dense simple hairs. The silver-leaved linden bears fruit every or every 1 year and blooms in June-July.
