Oregano (Origanum vulgare L.) - Dried Herb

Wild oregano is one of Europe's most valuable aromatic and essential-oil-bearing herbs. Renowned for both its culinary and botanical importance, the plant is widely used as a source of herbal raw material rich in naturally occurring aromatic compounds. Owing to its distinctive phytochemical profile, wild oregano is incorporated into herbal teas, extracts, food supplements, cosmetic products, and essential oil production.

The herb grows naturally throughout Bulgaria, particularly in mountainous and semi-mountainous regions. Its characteristic aroma and high concentration of bioactive compounds make it a sought-after ingredient for the herbal, nutraceutical, food, and cosmetic industries.
